What is Hypnosis and how does it work?

Hypnosis has become a highly effective method in assisting people with solving their problems.  It can be a valuable adjunct in other therapies and there are no risks involved.

If you ask most people whether they have ever been hypnotized, their answer will probably be NO, but they are wrong.  All of us enters into a naturally occurring trance state almost every day.  For example; daydreaming, reading a book, watching TV or diving a car.

There is no surrender of mind or control.  A person who does not want to be hypnotized cannot be hypnotized nor be forced to do or say anything they don't want to say or do.

Hypnosis is a means of communication between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind.  Many problems, habits, stresses, anxieties, attitudes or apparent deficiencies can be traced to interpretations by the subconscious mind.  Under hypnosis a person can release their negative emotional and unconscious reactions to any situation and reprogram positive responses.

The subconscious mind is the storehouse of all the imprints, impressions, thoughts, ideas, beliefs and experiences that an individual has ever experienced.  It also regulates your body's maintenance and autonomic processes like breathing, heartbeat, blood circulation and tissue regeneration, among others.  It's the base of your emotions and directs nearly all of your behavior.

By working with the subconscious to reprogram your responses to life, you no longer let the past control you.  You're in control of your actions and reactions to life.

Who can be hypnotized?

  • 95% of all people can go into hypnosis
  • Children make excellent subjects

Important: Hypnosis sessions are not intended as a replacement for appropriate medical care.
